ELEMENTS zeigt Neuerungen seiner Speicherlösungen für anspruchsvolle Media Workflows.

Stand: 7.B25

ELEMENTS präsentiert eine umfassende Vision für die Medien-Workflows von morgen und zukunftssichere Speicherlösungen.

Zu den in Amsterdam gezeigten Produkten gehören:

GRID: A foundation for demanding workflows

GRID is a software-defined all-NVMe storage appliance designed for the high-performance demands of the media and entertainment industry. Built on the top-tier Ceph distributed storage platform, GRID delivers speed, scalability, and reliability in a compact 2U form factor.

Designed for post-production, VFX, broadcast, and content creation, GRID provides a strong foundation for demanding workflows, combining 100Gbit Ethernet connectivity to eliminate bottlenecks in high-resolution editing, rendering, and collaborative processes. When paired seamlessly with the company’s Media Library, GRID goes beyond storage, giving users the flexibility to efficiently organize, store, retrieve, share, and comment on large volumes of media assets.

Major features:

  • Unified File & Object Storage: CephFS for scalable storage and S3 Gateway for cloud-native object storage workflows.
  • Built-in Resilience: GRID ensures high availability and data durability through advanced features like replication, snapshots, erasure coding, and self-healing capabilities.
  • Hybrid Workflow Ready: Seamless integration with Windows and macOS environments via native SMB support, along with full compatibility with Active Directory for centralized access management.
  • Effortless Scalability: Easily scale out by adding new nodes—expanding capacity and performance on the fly, with zero downtime or data migration required.
  • Media-Optimized Architecture: Low-latency access, high IOPS and metadata performance for smooth media playback and asset management.

From real-time editing to managing expanding media libraries and enabling secure archiving, GRID streamlines infrastructure, enhances performance and flexibility, and overcomes the traditional limits of classic storage systems.

VALET: An all-new storage extension service

Launching at this year’s IBC will be VALET, a new storage extension service designed to make managing large-scale media projects more efficient, flexible, and cost-effective.

At its core, VALET offers a seamless way to offload completed or inactive workspaces—whether from on-prem or cloud infrastructure—to a secondary location, typically cloud storage. Unlike cold storage solutions that disrupt workflows or conceal data, VALET keeps everything clean and tidy, connected to its original workspace, and ready to be retrieved and reintegrated, without the need for manual tracking or system juggling.

Think of VALET as a storage attendant: it discreetly syncs active projects to a secondary location, then clears local copies once they’re no longer in use—freeing up high-performance infrastructure without removing access.

Incorporating the benefits of rapid storage with the scale and affordability of the cloud, VALET is ideal for distributed teams, growing media libraries, or studios looking to cut costs without compromising workflow momentum.

With VALET, storage becomes less of a restraint and more of a strategic tool—helping teams focus on what they do best: creating.

BLINK: BeeGFS file system

BLINK is ELEMENTS’ native BeeGFS client for Windows and macOS—engineered to unlock the full performance potential of BeeGFS file systems—will form a major part of our showcase at this year’s IBC. Meticulously engineered with true kernel-level integration, BLINK outperforms traditional FUSE-based native clients—delivering exceptional speed, reduced latency, and rock-solid stability for high-performance media workflows.

When seamlessly paired with the NVMe CUBE appliance, BLINK offers block-level file access over Ethernet, giving creative professionals access to unmatched throughput and efficiency across platforms. It’s a major leap forward for teams that demand high-performance, cross-platform storage access.
